The Renaissance Dam that Ethiopia
has started to build across the Blue Nile will reduce the water flowing into
Egypt by 10 billion cubic metres per year causing protest from the Egyptian
government, public demonstrations in Cairo and international concerns are
raised. The Ilisu dam in Turkey will remove 11 billion cubic metres per year
from Tigris before entering Iraq but little has been said about this.
